Beaubourg or rather Georges Pompidou’s Arts & Culture National Centre was inaugurated in 1977. In fact, it is a block of metal and glass of 160 metres by 60 metres and 42 metres high. Hundreds of architects from all around the world worked on the project but Piano and Rogers, respectively Italian and English, succeeded and got it. Nowadays, Beaubourg is one of the most visited places in Paris. Its National Museum of Modern Art (NMMA) rival all the cultural Meccas of the world with its 56,000 works of art.
