A selection of some forty artists born after 1978 |
|
Savour the privilege and test your intuition: be the first to discover and appreciate the work of tomorrow’s greats!
For the first time, the Musée d’Art moderne de Paris and the Palais de Tokyo propose an exhibition installed across both their sites. They offer a selection of some forty artists born after the 70's, who are French or are living in France, and who have as yet seldom been displayed.
The young artists chosen are truly renewing the established codes, the forms and strategies, and the practices hitherto marked out.

The French Open
Roland Garros Tennis Tournament |
|
The Roland-Garros tennis tournament in the spring is the world mecca of ground tennis, it is one of the key ATP competitions with Flushing Meadows, Wimbledon and Melbourne.
It was here that great players such as Borg, Graf, Wilander, Lendl, Kuerten and Nadal made their debut and here that spectators experienced some of the most exciting and spectacular matches in tennis history.
Clay courts slow the ball down and produce a high bounce when compared to grass and synthetic courts. As such, over the years, clay court specialists have evolved who often succeed here whilst higher ranked players may struggle. Fourteen-time major-champion Pete Sampras and current World No. 1 Roger Federer have won every other Grand Slam tournament several times, but never the French Open.
One of the highly selective foursome of Grand Slam tournaments... |

Dear food-lovers, big and small
Enjoy your visit and bon appétit ! |
|
Eating is one of our main preoccupations as human beings. Barely out of the womb, newborn infants clamour for the breast or bottle. They discover the taste of fats and their first flavour, sweetness.
Once they reach adolescence, will these almost independent eaters still be capable of finding their way across the food landscape? Do they know why and what they are eating? Are they able to discover happiness and health on the dinner plate? |

Aida
The famous Giuseppe Verdi's Opera |
Aida is an opera in four acts by Giuseppe Verdi to an Italian libretto by Antonio Ghislanzoni, based on a scenario written by French Egyptologist Auguste Mariette.
More than 500 performers (including eight soloists, 110 choir singers, 119 musicians and 300 dancers and extras) will stage a larger-than-life version of this powerful work under the direction of stage director Charles Roubaud, who is well versed in Verdi. |
